Suarez beats Messi, Ronaldo to 30 goals
Luis Suarez has become the first player across the top five league in Europe, to score 30 goals this season. The Uruguay striker achieved this feat, by scoring in the 53rd minute of Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, to book the Catalans’ place in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on Wednesday. His 29 other goals have come in La Liga (18), the Champions League (five), the FIFA Club World Cup (five) and one each in the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. Suarez was only able to score 23 times last season, but now has 30 goals in 24 appearances. His team-mates, Lionel Messi and Neymar have 20 and 21 respectively. Cristiano Roanldo has scored 27 times.
