Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint at a luxury residence in Paris by at least two men dressed as police officers.

A police spokesman said the haul from the robbery, mostly jewellery, was worth several million euros. The robbery took place at about 03:00 local time (01:00 GMT).

A spokeswoman for Kardashian, 35, said the star was “badly shaken but physically unharmed”. No-
one else was hurt in the robbery, police said.

Ina Treciokas told CNN the robbery was carried out by two masked men with guns. Other reports put the number of assailants at five.

“At around 2.30am, the robbers are believed to have entered the building and handcuffed the night guard. They then entered Kim’s room, threatened her with a weapon, ‘tied her up and locked her in the bathroom. Her daughter, North, and 10-month-old son Saint, are not believed to have been in the room at the time.”

As Kim was left terrified in the bathroom tied up with her bodyguard, the armed men reportedly stole jewellery worth millions of dollars. The KUWTK star was later rescued after the robbers fled the scene on bicycles, according to MirrorUK.

A photographer, who has been following Kim since she arrived in Paris, is being questioned by police. He is said to have gained access to a restaurant where she and her family were dining earlier this week by posing as a policeman.

A Paris police official also confirmed that there was a robbery and an investigation was underway.

Kardashian’s husband, the rapper Kanye West, was on stage at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York at the time of the robbery. He abruptly ended his set, telling fans:

“I’m sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show.”

Is Love Without Billing Possible In Southern Nigeria? —Reno Omokri

Published

I can understand why Moses Bliss married a Ghanaian. I have been to Ghana, and their women tend to be easier to relate with than many Southern Nigerian women. In fact, is love without billing still possible in Southern Nigeria? In our part of the world, ‘He is loving’ means ‘He is spending’. When you tell many Southern Nigerian girls, ‘I love you’, they hear, ‘You owe me’. Especially those with Industrial Money Obtainer culture. If you marry the Industrial Money Obtainers, I pity you. The billing will become industrial. You will look after her and her entire family. No capping. And better not expect gratitude. In their eyes, you are doing your duty.

If Nigeria had visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more countries, there would be an epidemic of unmarried women in Nigeria. Because when Southern Nigerian men travel within Africa and outside Africa and encounter beautiful women who are not money conscious, they quickly lose their appetite for Nigerian women. Already, Nigerian men are considered a catch by South African and Kenyan women.

We urgently need a cultural reorientation amongst our women. Especially in Southern Nigeria. The monetisation of relationships in Southern Nigeria is just too suffocating. I am well-traveled, and I am yet to see the level of commercialisation of romance I have seen in Southern Nigeria. I call it as I see it!
