Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Uchendu has responded to the claim by a social media user that housemate, Cee-C was his ex-girlfriend. According to him, People are obviously very unintelligent and bored. The media personality has been rumoured to be an in-law to Cee-C, was in the middle of another speculation with her yesterday.

This time an Instagram user is claiming that Cee-C is Ebuka’s ex-girlfriend, and he has reacted after it got tongues wagging.

Replying to the claims Ebuka Tweeted;
“People are obviously very very unintelligent and bored. Idiots all!!!”
Yesterday we reported that a social media user identified as Riri_golden made an allegation that Big Brother Naija housemate Cee-C used to be Ebuka’s girlfriend before he got married to his wife.

The lady alleged that the duo dated for about 3 years before they separated.

Golden stated in a post on Instagram that the show host connived with Big Brother to compensate Cee-C by making her a housemate in the show.

She wrote:
“Ebuka if you like block me na you sabi. “I just said the truth, Cee-c was your ex-girlfriend before you got married. You dated her for two to three years and compensated her with Big Brother show for her to be happy with you.”
Also, Cee-C had earlier narrated on how she met the show host, Ebuka. Though her narration was entirely different from what Riri stated, but it is obvious the duo knew each other before the show.

According to Cee-C, she met Ebuka she only approached Ebuka and told him of her intention to be on the show and that was it. In her words:

“I know myself. I’m a f**king lawyer. People have been calling me, asking what is wrong with me, saying ‘girl come on! Go do your masters and face your career. But they don’t understand why I finish law school and decided to come to Big Brother Naija house.

I know people. If I tell you how I met that one that came here yesterday (Ebuka) you won’t believe it. One day I drove my car to see him to tell him I want to be part of the show. When he asked my name and I told him, he was surprised based on ‘who I be’.

And just last week, we met Adesua. That is life. Just knowing people.”

Is Love Without Billing Possible In Southern Nigeria? —Reno Omokri

Published

I can understand why Moses Bliss married a Ghanaian. I have been to Ghana, and their women tend to be easier to relate with than many Southern Nigerian women. In fact, is love without billing still possible in Southern Nigeria? In our part of the world, ‘He is loving’ means ‘He is spending’. When you tell many Southern Nigerian girls, ‘I love you’, they hear, ‘You owe me’. Especially those with Industrial Money Obtainer culture. If you marry the Industrial Money Obtainers, I pity you. The billing will become industrial. You will look after her and her entire family. No capping. And better not expect gratitude. In their eyes, you are doing your duty.

If Nigeria had visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more countries, there would be an epidemic of unmarried women in Nigeria. Because when Southern Nigerian men travel within Africa and outside Africa and encounter beautiful women who are not money conscious, they quickly lose their appetite for Nigerian women. Already, Nigerian men are considered a catch by South African and Kenyan women.

We urgently need a cultural reorientation amongst our women. Especially in Southern Nigeria. The monetisation of relationships in Southern Nigeria is just too suffocating. I am well-traveled, and I am yet to see the level of commercialisation of romance I have seen in Southern Nigeria. I call it as I see it!
