So one of our reporters over the weekend had the honour of interviewing popular US based Nigerian gospel singer El’grace: .

El Grace: My name is Grace Oluwadiya known as El’ Grace.

Can you tell us a few things about yourself?

El’ Grace: I was the first of four children. I was born in the US but grew up in Africa, I started playing violin at 2 and started singing in the church as well. I am a gospel musician. I grew up dreaming about writing the songs that used to pop in my head then. I want to share them with the world.

What was the first tune(s) you learnt?

El’ Grace: A, B, C, D, E……..Twinkle twinkle little star…. Do you play other instrument apart from the violin?

El’ Grace: I learnt others but didn’t get to perfect them
Which famous musician have you learnt from?….directly or indirectly

El Grace: Tasha Cobbs, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach and Whitney Houston.

If You didn’t become a musician what would you be doing now?

El’ Grace: I have no idea, maybe acting.

What’s the weirdest or funniest question you’ve ever been asked In an interview?

El’ Grace: Are you a Nigerian?

Which of your song is your favourite and why?

El’ Grace: Difficult to pick but I tend to listen to “You Are Beautiful….” It talks about God’s beauty, very solemn and catchy.

Have you done collaborations with other acts?

El’ Grace: Not yet

Which musicians would you like to collaborate with?

El’ Grace: Nathaniel Bassey, Jekalyn Carr.

Do you think you can get as a musician? If so how would you achieve that?

El’ Grace: Consistency, Determination and raw passion is key.

El’ Grace: My music and my passion for what I do
