Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan Loses Elder Sister In Bayelsa

Former President Goodluck Elder Jonathan has lost his elder sister, Madam Obebhatein Jonathan.

Madam Obebhatein died at the age of 70 on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Federal Medical Centre(FMC), Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, after a brief illness.

This was made known in a statement issued by Ikechukwu Eze, the former president’s media media.

The deceased popularly known as Amissi was a retired teacher, business woman, a loving mother and grandmother who lived a dedicated life of service to God and humanity.

According to the statement, she is survived by three children, siblings, including the former president and her mother, Mama Eunice Afeni-Jonathan.

The statement also indicated that the burial has been scheduled for Tuesday 16th February, 2024.
